Newsletter Soon Available by Email

We'll soon be sending out our monthly newsletter by email, as well as by regular mail. Use the form below to add your email to our mailing list.

Why the change?

We're continuing to try to improve our communication within the congregation. One of the ways that we're doing that is by adjusting the way our newsletter is distributed. About a year ago or so, we stopped mailing them and started putting them in mailboxes. In order to try to reach some of our members who aren't able to be with us as regularly, we're making two changes: 1) we're starting an email version of the newsletter for all who request it and 2) we're going back to mailing them to everyone else.

The biggest concern with this approach is the cost. The more people sign up to receive it by email, the more we save on postage. This is especially true since, even if we mailed them to all of our members, we no longer send out enough copies to qualify for the lower, bulk mailing rate.

When will the change start?

We'll start mailing/emailing the newsletter starting in January 2018. (back to top)

What happens if I do nothing?

If you don't sign up to receive it by email, you'll continue getting a paper copy of the newsletter. The only change will be that, starting in January, it will be mailed to your home rather than put in your mailbox at church. (back to top)

What does the email newsletter look like?

You can preview it in this recent post(back to top)

Can I sign up to get the email version and still get a paper copy mailed to me?

In order to save on postage, we're hoping that the email newsletter will replace the paper copy for most of our members. However, you may continue to receive a printed copy, as well. Just select 'Yes' in the form under "Continue to receive paper copy by mail." (back to top)

Don't you already have my email address?

Unfortunately, the answer is probably no. In the past, people preferred not to give that information out when asked. As a result, we have very few email addresses in our records. Even if we do have it, though, this also serves as a way to allow you to give us permission to add you to this email list. We don't want to simpy start sending you unsolicited emails. (back to top)

Will the list be used for other news and events, too?

If you give us permission, we'll also update you about news and events in specific areas of our ministry such as Bible studies, Christ the King Lutheran School, Little Knights Preschool, men's ministry (LLL), women's ministry (LWML, Ladies' Aid), and several more. You can choose only those areas that interest you and can change these preferences at any time by contacting the church office. (back to top)

How do I unsubscribe?

If you change your mind at any time, just contact the church office or use the instructions at the bottom of each email. We will automatically start mailing a paper copy of the newsletter to your home. (back to top)
