Our Stewardship and Evangelism committee is seeking a few individuals to help run the games at their booth at Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 28, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. For the past several years, the Stewardship and Evangelism committee has had a booth at our school's Trunk or Treat, giving out prizes to the kids in attendance. If that sounds like a fun way to spend a Friday evening-- or even part of it-- please talk to Allen Hahn. If it doesn't, Pastor Stolarczyk is happy to meet with you at your convenience. Thanks!
St. Paul Lutheran Church is pleased to announce the introduction of an electronic option for making regular offerings. Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account, or processed using your credit or debit card. Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and provides much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.
If you are currently giving on a week basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.
Check out the videos below to see how you can electronically give with your mobile device or online.
We will observe All Saints' Day on Sunday, November 6, during our regular worship service. As part of that observance, we will include the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed, remembering our members, family, and loved ones who passed away in the past twelve months. So far, we will be remembering Rick Gremel, Don Hahn, Bonnie King, Dennis Roberts, Dave Sting, and Bob VanBevern. If you have a family member or friend who passed away since November 1, 2021, please email his or her name to our secretary, Tracey Reinbold, at stpaulluthunionville@airadv.net by October 30 and we will be happy to include him or her.
Your choir needs YOU starting Thursday, September 15.
Although our long-time choir director-- who has served us so well-- is taking care of important family concerns, we very much want to try to organize special music for the main celebrations through the coming year. If you'd be able to sing with us for our fall/winter season (Reformation Day, All Saints' Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) please join us on Thursday, September 15, at 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. Come and help us make a joyful noise to the Lord!
It's time for Easter Flower orders once again. Unfortunately the turnaround is very short again this year. Please submit your order, either using the forms available at church or using the form below, no later than March 26. Payments can be submitted to the church office.
Thanks!
In-person worship is the central activity in the life of the Church. We gather in God's Name-- in the promises God mad to us in baptism-- and God strengthens us with His Word and sacraments. In the process, we are sanctified to live holy lives as we return to our home/work/community.
We have one service at 9:00 a.m. with Bible study and Sunday school following from approximately 10:15-11:15 (September through May).
Our worship is liturgical. It is best described as 'relaxed yet reverent'. If you have wiggly young children, you will be in good company. In fact, please consider that the routine of the liturgy can make worship more accessible for young children? They can begin to learn to participate from a surprisingly early age. The weekly elements like the creeds, the songs used in the liturgy, the "Hear our prayer" responses to each petition in the prayers of the church, and the Lord's Prayer, for example, make it easy for them to learn and take part. Our worship service is for them, as well.
